Governance/Committees

Governance committees and the resulting policies are essential to being good stewards of information technology, and the people and processes it touches.

Do you want to bring new software into Johns Hopkins? Here is your first stop if you’re part of JHHS or the School of Medicine. Guidance for Johns Hopkins University is coming soon.

Johns Hopkins Software Intake Process (SIP)

Johns Hopkins Health System employees looking to bring a new technology software solution to the workplace are required to complete this form, which outlines why the technology is needed, what problem it will solve and what the expected return on investment will be for the department and the institution. This process is only for Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine employees.

The advising groups below provide ideas and oversight for the work we do.

Institutional Computing Standards Committee (ICSC)

The ICSC provides a forum for IT managers and administrators across Hopkins to consider matters of common concern.

IT Partners

Members of JHU Academic divisions provide strategic information technology input and feedback to Johns Hopkins IT.

JHM Health IT Executive Committee

This group leads the JHM IT system review process to ensure coordination across the enterprise for all new system requests. The process ensures adherence to JHM, entity, and departmental goals.

Technology Solutions Working Group (TSWG)

The TSWG will collaboratively evaluate, prioritize, and respond to requests, ideas, and pain points from functional users to identify and implement the most effective and efficient solutions. Further, the TSWG will review requests from a strategic standpoint to ensure alignment, reduce redundancy, and determine the best solution to achieve our longer-term goals.

New requests, ideas, and pain points from functional users across all schools and functional areas at Johns Hopkins University (Financial Aid, Registration, Billing, Admissions, Career Services, Advising) can be submitted using the TSWG Request Survey.
