IT@Hopkins has deployed Shibboleth in a production environment. We are now a participant with the InCommon Federation and setup our own internal federation BlueJay. Shibboleth was developed under the direction of the Internet2 Middleware initiative. Shibboleth is used when you want to share secured online services or access restricted digital content across or within institutional boundaries.
