Johns Hopkins Enterprise Messaging (JHEM) is one of the primary Enterprise email systems available to staff, faculty and students at the Johns Hopkins Institutions. Using their JHED login and password, customers can view their email via the web or with an email client. JHEM provides a web client that will allows customers to view and manage email and contacts from any internet browser. Secure POP and IMAP are also available so that customers can use email clients such as MacMail, Entourage, Outlook and Eudora for viewing and managing mail.
Along with email, a web-based calendar program is available to customers when their email account is activated. Calendar users can create multiple calendars and group them for layered viewing and grant permissions to other JHED users for accessing and modifying calendars. A URL is available for each calendar if customers wish to allow others access to read a particular calendar without requiring a login. A synchronization tool is available for use Windows CE devices as well as Microsoft Outlook.
